Fonction
To take responsibility for the global IT architecture of the organization, in order to have an architectural and holistic view of the systems, applications and process being used.

The IT Architect will define standard solutions in the different technology areas taking into account both functional and non-functional requirements.

The IT Architect will play a key role during the design and rollout of new or modified IT solutions (all domains: applications, integration, infrastructure and security) assuring the solutions are in line with the defined standards and regulatory requirements.

In this role you will:
• Setup and monitor an IT architecture that meets the business requirements of the organization, to ensure that suitable answers are offered to user questions and issues.
• Ensure that individual IT solutions and applications fit within the organization business strategy, comply with the organization’s IT standards and fully support the enterprise-wide IT architecture.
• Ensure that IT solutions satisfy the organization’s non-functional requirements, including quality, security, performance, usability and scalability.
• Monitor the IT architecture’s overall effectiveness, the efficiency of IT solutions (in terms of ICT equipment, processing and communication capacity, data structures, objects, algorithms, business logic, etc.) and the technical feasibility of proposed new solutions, assessing their risks, costs and potential benefits.
• Collaborate with others or provide others with leadership and guidance to enforce the compliancy with the IT architecture during the different phases of IT projects
• Advise the organization on emerging trends and innovations regarding IT architectures, and highlights best practices in similar/relevant industries.
• Lead the evaluation and comparison of IT technologies, reporting to the management, reporting on alternative scenarios and assessing opportunities related to new and emerging technologies.
• Produce strong recommendations and high quality design documents and written reports, describing IT architectural solutions in a clear and terse style.
• Document and keep up to date the overall IT Architecture Landscape. You will report to the Head of IT Integration.


Profil
• Master degree;
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT Architecture;
• The role requires a high degree of technical expertise (Development and Infrastructure) and keen interest in technology innovation;
• Organizational and business sensitivity;
• Experience or strong affinity with financial sector;
• Strong will to learn
• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Very good knowledge of Dutch, French and English;
